Having a low sperm count, and having infertility issues, is often pointed to things like an unhealthy diet, lifestyle choices, and stress. To combat these problems, men tend to adopt a new, healthy diet, while also changing their lifestyle choices, limiting their stress, and taking some recommended vitamins and supplements on a daily basis.
What I’m going to do in this article is give you some options as to what vitamins and supplements you should take to increase your sperm count.
Check them out below and see which ones are right for you!
Take D-Aspartic Acid Supplements
D-aspartic acid, also known as D-AA, is an amino acid that primarily acts as a dietary supplement. Within the body, D-AA is present in certain glands such as the testicles, where semen and sperm cells are produced.
D-AA is said to be associated with male infertility. In fact, men who are infertile tend to have lower levels of the amino acid in the body, hence why it is recommended to take the D-aspartic acid supplement. In addition, the amino acid is said to promote testosterone production, the key hormone in making men fertile.
If you decide to take this supplement, however, you should keep in mind that it works at its best when given to men with low testosterone levels; on the other hand, men with normal to high testosterone levels don’t experience much help when taking the amino acid.
So, if you ask me, I’d only go with this supplement if you’re having issues with your testosterone levels.
Exercise on a Regular Basis
Exercising regularly increases your testosterone the natural way, in turn increasing the amount of sperm you produce. In addition, men that exercise on a regular basis also have more active sperm and better sperm quality.
However, don’t overdo it. If you exercise too much, you’ll actually have the opposite affect and start producing lower levels of the hormone.
So, if you rarely exercise, but you want to improve your fertility odds, start exercising a little more every week.
Take Vitamin C
Studies have proven this fact in recent years: Vitamin C supplements improve sperm quality.
How does the vitamin do this?
Under a specific vitamin C study, men involved in the study were told to take 1,000 milligrams of the vitamin twice a day for two months. Doing this increased the amount of healthy sperm in the body, and it increased the healthy sperm’s motility by an approximate 90%. Sperm count went up almost 100%, too.
In addition, taking vitamin C on a regular basis can actually limit the amount of deformed sperm cells produced by the body.
So, go to the local drug store and pick yourself up some vitamin C.
Lessen Your Stress Levels
Stress tends to decrease your libido. What many men don’t know, however, is that stress really limits your sperm count, therefore decreasing your ability to be fertile.
Unfortunately, if you have high levels of stress, you’ll have high levels of cortisol. And high levels of cortisol in the body tend to raise levels of testosterone in the body.
So, experiment with some ways to decrease your stress. You could try meditating, taking a daily walk, talking to a therapist, or exercising.
Get Enough Vitamin D
Vitamin D naturally boosts your testosterone levels. Men that don’t have a sufficient vitamin D intake tend to have lower testosterone levels.
Having enough of the vitamin in your body can actually improve sperm motility, too.
So, load up on that milk, or go to the pharmacy and pick up some vitamins.
Take Tribulus Terrestris
This medicinal herb is used to help men out in their time of need when it comes to fertility problems. And, Tribulus Terrestris is proven to increase libido in men, too.
Though the herb is not proven to increase testosterone levels in the body, it is proven to enhance the so-called libido-promoting effects of testosterone.
So, do your research and see if this herb is right for you.
Check out Ashwagandha
Ashwagandha, another medicinal herb, also is known to boost testosterone levels. Not only does it increase sperm count by over 150%, it also increases semen volume by over 50% and sperm motility by over 50%.
Also, if you want to increase your muscle mass and overall strength, Ashwagandha is the way to go.
So, go to the supplement store and pick some up today.
Eat Some Maca Root
Maca Root is a popular plant food that is primarily used to increase your sex drive and your odds at a fertile reproductive system. Additionally, Maca Root helps out in the sexual performance department, too, which means if you have erectile dysfunction, you’ve come to the right plant food.
If you still want more options, I would suggest trying an all-natural male sex enhancement supplement. Both Tribulus Terrestris and Maca Root are present in most of these supplements.
So, if you were thinking about using these ingredients in your daily routine already, why not go with herbal supplements and get all of the benefits included in one little capsule?
